An absolutely stunning cottage located in a beautiful village. The hosts were super friendly and their amazing dogs were gorgeous. I highly recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in a peaceful environment and those seeking tranquility. We all had a wonderful time.

We had a very comfortable stay at Madelines cosy cottage. We loved the attention to detail and the cleanliness throughout. You can walk from the front door which we love and enjoyed the recommendations of where to eat and visit. It was a very enjoyable stay and incredible value for money.

Lovely place! The beds are very comfortable and the decor is so thoughtful. The location really can’t be beat! We took Aleya’s advice and ate at the Indian restaurant next door— the best Indian food we’ve ever had!

Had a short weekend at the flat on this loverly farm. If you want some where to chill and have some peace then this is the place to be. Add the style of the flat inside and out and how helpfull Lucy and her crew are, you the have this perfect place. The correspondence and information on the arrival and departure is first class. There is a nice little pub no more than a five minute drive called The Antelope Inn, very friendly. Thanks again Lucy for a wonderful stay.

Immerse yourself in nature and a world of books. Stanley’s a Bibliophile with an astounding collection of books. A beautifully curated home of antiques, artefacts from world travels, pictures and books displayed creatively in every room, creating wonderful character and ambience, like no other Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in. There is a great, bright cook’s kitchen/dining area, a huge family table for eating and playing games or listening to some classical music from a beautiful collection. A cosy lounge with log fire and tv, two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom that has a bath and separate walk in shower upstairs. Set in beautiful countryside, this is an outstanding location for peace and quiet, yet a short drive to historic Shaftesbury. Perfect for our family and two young children.

Very respectful and warm upon greeting. Lovely tidy little place with all the amenities you'll need for a stay that has you feeling like you're right at home. Plenty to see and do in not only the town it's in, but public transport nearby can take you to neighbouring towns and cities quickly. Every aspect of my stay was 10/10 and I highly recommend this place as a great stay! Thank you.

Everything at Downwood was stunning and so easy. The team were friendly and responsive and made our stay the perfect getaway for my boyfriend's birthday. The hot tub was a dream and cared to daily so that was a welcome sight come sunset! Perfect amenities and everything we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great weekend away in Dorset. So much to do. We had the best time!
