Liked the place, very clean, nice hot shower and comfy beds. I didn’t love the breakfast, but they were very nice and kind. We had a room to the mountain so it was very quiet but the place is in a quiet road. Walkable to the pier and restaurants.

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at the Blue Lagoon! The location is an easy scooter ride to/from town (or about 30min walk) and we were able to rent a scooter directly from them. The tiny house was clean and well kept. There is a bit of a sewage smell from the bathroom but it went away when we kept the fan running. The included breakfast was a nice aspect too.

Homestay with lovely housekeeper who does not speak English, but communication with Google Translate works very well. Would book again!

excellent place to stay in Cat Ba island. Within good walking distance to most major places / city center. Would recommend renting a bike and explore the island.

One of the Top Homestays of my life. Daily, wife, child and staff were the most responsive ever. Henry was knowledgeable and wore many hats, the two cleaning ladies were respectful, efficient and punctual, the maintained man actually cleaned the pool even though I was the only swimmer in the winter months, the cook and server were all high points of my peaceful stay. Free breakfast was more than enough for the day. Lunch or dinner was prepared either by the cook or Dai's wife all extremely delicious. The grounds were extremely well kept. The peace and quiet of the location was a delight. I ventured out once for a day of trekking. All these 68 year old legs needed. There were multiple choices of excursions inland or the bay as well as overnight or multi-day trips throughout Vietnam. Even in the winter there were a few butterflies and bees. The Papillion is the top of my list as sites in Cat Ba Island. Thank you again for the enjoyable stay.

Beautiful stay and good location off small laneway so it was quiet. Pool was the highlight, stunning mountain and town views. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were very nice. We were able to rent a motorbike for a day which was very convenient. I highly recommend!

Thu Ha was an incredible host. She made us feel right at home and was so caring. She even helped us book a kayak tour and rent scooters so we could fully enjoy our time on Cat Ba. The room was simple, clean, and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and lovingly decorated, with great outdoor spaces perfect for relaxing. We had an amazing time! When we return to Vietnam, we'll definitely spend a few days here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone here was so kind and helpful. We were able to rent a moped to get around with. Our host called for it and had it delivered it right to us. Anything we needed was promptly attended to. If you prefer to be surrounded by nature instead of people and noise this is the place for you. With the moped rental we were still easily able to access any place on the island. We were very pleased with our stay. I would recommend a stay here.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Alles wirkt relativ neu und es ist sauber. Ein einfaches Frühstück war auch im Preis inbegriffen. Die Lage war für uns super. Man läuft ca. 10 Minuten zum mehr. Gute Restaurants und Bars gibts in der direkten Nachbarschaft. Zum Strand läuft man ca. 20 Minuten einen schönen Weg an der Strandpromenade entlang. Wir haben gleich nochmal 2 Tage verlängert. Hier bekommt man für kleines Geld eine sehr gute Leistung.

We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Lagoon! Our bungalow was charming, cozy, and the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location is ideal—peaceful and tucked away from the hustle of Cat Ba Town, yet still easily accessible. One of the unexpected highlights was the adorable pets, who made our mornings even more enjoyable as they kept us company over coffee. Speaking of drinks, the bar here is incredible! The coffee, tea, and cocktails were hands-down the best we had during our entire month in Vietnam. We only wish they served dinner too! If you're visiting Cat Ba, this place is a must-stay. Highly recommend!
