Responsive host and a clean, cozy place. Felt just like home.

We had a wonderful stay at Yu’s place in Kyoto. Please follow Yu’s instructions as the location by Apple and Google maps may show to be slightly different (location is on Yoancho and not on the pedestrian walkway). The home is completely renovated with top notch Panasonic fixtures throughout. Area is convenient on the subway line from Kyoto Stn and beautiful near Gosho (former Imperial Palace).

Nous avons passé un super séjour. La maison est grande et agréable. Salle de bain japonaise superbe. Le quartier est calme et à 15 minutes de la gare à pied. Nous recommandons ce logement qui a été notre meilleur logement au Japon !

We really liked staying in this place. It is about 7-10 minutes walking distance from various bus stops, so you can go in any direction with buses. It is a living area, so no tourists, and you can sleep undisturbed. There is a huge supermarket Life a couple of hundred meters from the apartment which was really handy. The apartment has 2 floors: living room, bathroom, and toilet downstairs and sleeping rooms upstairs. At first we thought that the beds were a bit hard, but we all slept like babies after all! They were very comfortable! The living room was big enough and had a kitchen in it. The bathroom had a really good shower with a bath. There is also a washing machine there, but we have not used it. The host was replying very fast to my messages. Our experience was wonderful, and I do recommend this apartment and also the host with pleasure. Enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed it!

Place is clean and different compare to other bnb's. Will definitely book this again once we're back in kyoto.

Overall stay was awesome. The bed downstairs was stiff and hard and the queen size bed upstairs was the same, hard and uncomfortable. The comforters were super comfy and loved the restrooms. Great stay, only wish the beds were more comfortable. Location was great. Walked a lot and really loved the root2 cafe down the street

Lovely time at Kyoto House! A really fun space, mix of classic Japanese and western style. The doorways are a little low if you’re tall but really no complaints. Would stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wang's lovely home. We really felt like we got to experience a little of what life in a traditional Japanese home is like. The bathrooms were amazing and the location could not have been better. The home was walkable to many major sites and close to public transportation making it easy to tour from our home base. Coming from hotel stays in Tokyo it was nice to have room to spread out a little and we all enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes. This home was a dream come true for this family of four. Wang was helpful in giving detailed instructions for check in - it was a little difficult to find the house the first time because our taxi dropped us off at the wrong house but otherwise everything was smooth and easy.

What a great stay! Beautifully located right along the river, and super easy to get to various spots around the city. Loved the stay. Would book again.

We had a great stay here with 11 adults. The layout is unique with little windows, doors, and other mysteries throughout the home. It is very old and should be preserved where possible, but it could use some extra upkeep. Many of the sliding doors and windows are stuck or damaged, the gutter is full of leaves, lightbulbs are mismatched, there's some unfinished drywall in the kitchen - just minor things like this. With some extra attention, it could be a luxury property. Regardless, we recommend this place. Thanks for having us!

This home is beautiful. It’s been recently renovated and it looked, felt and smelled new. The decoration and furnishings were really lovely. It’s in a quiet residential area about 20 minutes from the main shopping and sightseeing area, 10-15 minute walk to station and 3 stops to Kawaramachi markets. It comfortably fits 7 people in 3 different bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Appliances and tableware were all high end. It doesn’t have closets in the bedrooms, just a couple of hangers, which seems to be common in Japan hotels. Shogo, our host, was very friendly, super communicative and helpful. Also very generous with his hospitality. This place is not in the middle of the busy sightseeing areas, but it’s relatively central and easy to get to places with public transport. There are also some shops and restaurants in walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Very cozy and spacious, and equipped with everything we needed.

Kleines Stadthäuschen an einer belebten Strasse gelegen. Während man ein Bad in der Holzbadewanne nimmt, hat man einen schönen Blick auf einen kleinen Hinterhof-Garten. Einfach toll! Uns hat es gut gefallen. Ringsherum findet man diverse Restaurants. Wir waren jedoch froh, dass wir mit japanisch sprechenden Leuten unterwegs waren. Mit englisch bzw dem Google Übersetzer allein wären wir verloren gewesen.

Our stay at Yanbin’s place was great! We really felt at home, at a Japanese home! Place is great, location was awesome! Away from the tourists but still super close to any action Kyoto offers! Yanbin was super friendly, always willing to help and put up with all my questions! Honestly a great place, plenty of room, comfortable and great location! Our kids were very careful around the house, but with so much space it was really great! Everyone had its own corner in the house to enjoy their reading, playing a game, reading a book or sipping a coffee/tea/sake! Highly recommended without a doubt! Thank you Yanbin, see you next time!

周边🈶一家叫做永旺的超市和购物商场、离京都站大概步行时间在15分钟以内。按照国人的习惯，这个地方叫做弄堂里。适合全家出游或者闺蜜、兄弟一起出游。性价比高。以后有需要会继续光顾的。

If you're looking for an Airbnb in Kyoto, this is the place! My wife and I were amazed by the home, location and affordability of Shi's home. This traditional ryokan style home is perfect for someone looking for an authentic Japanese experience. Its conveniently located in walking distance to Kyoto station and a busy restaurant district while maintaining its privacy from both. I would 100% recommend this for your next stay!

We had a short 02 nights stay, the location was near sub-way station and bus stop, which can lead directly to some attraction place. This is a traditional Japan house, fully equipped with all necessary daily needs, great experience. A Special Thanks to Mr. Takeshi on some local recommendation. Nice and memorable stay.

If you are okay with train passing every 15 mins, this is a great place to stay. Great amenities, clean and comfortable house, enough space and cute balcony. Everything around it close very early (5-6pm) but we are okay with it. Host is responsive and direct. I would recommend this place if you are a heavy sleeper like us :)

O local é muito bem localizado, a 3min do trem, do family mart e de templos. A casa é bem tradicional e organizada. As camas são muito confortáveis. A limpeza não estava 100%, mas não impactou a viagem.

We cannot begin to explain just how wonderful this place and location were—it truly made our trip memorable and special. The home was cozy, beautifully kept, and perfectly situated. The host was kind, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive, which made everything even smoother. We would absolutely recommend this stay to all our friends and family. Honestly, if we had more time, we would’ve stayed another night without hesitation!
