we had a wonderful time snowboarding in hakuba valley with michael’s place as a base. it’s fully equipped with basic cooking equipment, washing machine and nice common areas to hang out with your friends.

We loved our stay at Daniel’s apartment in Iwatake! Everything was as described & pictured. Pick up and drop off to station great - as was the food shop at the start. All staff friendly. The drying room was very good and something we didn’t even know was a MUST! The new Gondala was very nice and the view from the top of the mountain was stunning. The ski lift near the apt did not open when we were there even tho there was so much snow which was disappointing. Daniel always responded to questions friendly and quickly and I would recommend these apartments for skiing families. Beds and amenities were great - the washer and dryer also handy. The apts are quite a distance away from most things in Hakuba (good and bad)- it cost me $50aud round trip to go to the shops (10 mins) to get some good and there really is not many restaurants or food close by and the cheap taxi would not collect from the apts. Some other guests were noisy and could be heard through walls. Would love to come back

Amazing stay! It was not just a house but the service that came with it! We truly appreciate the daily supermarket runs, daily chauffeur to dinner reservations, and not to mention the huge thank you to Darren and his team for making the reservations for us. Jake and James are gems! They helped us in every possible way they could. The villa itself was very comfortable for 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids). It was a wholesome experience. And we definitely couldn't wait go come back. Thank you!

This is an incredible house on the hills, overlooking the slope with beautiful trees. The traditional house is quite and nested in a lovely natural surrounding which allowed us an opportunity to relax and ground after busy trip in Tokyo. The place had everything we needed for a two night stay. I could easily cook and just relax at home, without the need to rush anywhere. Motoki and Sato were very helpful and lovely! They helped us a lot to navigate the local area and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We met their lovely dog Hatch and took him on a few walks, which made us feel like home.

We had the pleasure of staying at Jake’s Place in Hakuba, and it was an amazing experience! The place is walking distance to Iwatake Resort, otherwise Jake offers a ride to other nearby ski resorts, which is a huge bonus and makes getting around super easy. We were a group of 12, plus 2 kids and 2 babies, and there was something for everyone. The space was incredibly spacious and cosy, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes. The lodge had everything we needed to feel right at home. Jake really goes above and beyond in creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, and I couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base for their Hakuba trip!

awesome location. house was warm and quite. loved the layout and the accessibility to the buses to the ski resorts. Definitely recommend staying here whether with friends or family, you will definitely enjoy the location and views

Verscholen in de bossen rond Nagano ligt dit fantastische berghuis. Matt deelde een heel handige link naar Google Maps (voor toeristen die roaming uit hebben staan: download de kaart van de omgeving binnen Google Maps) en die klopte exact. Het huis ligt in een bospark met (vakantie)huizen die ver uit elkaar liggen waardoor je veel privacy hebt, is zeer ruim en bijzonder praktisch ingericht voor een stel. Houdt er wel rekening mee dat je voor een van de vele restaurants of boodschappen altijd de auto moet pakken, maar de stilte is het meer dan waard. Nagano ligt op 30 autominuten, goede tip is het Snowmonkeypark waar je in het wild apen op minder dan een meter afstand ziet, het uitstekende wijnlandgoed Saint Cousair met fantastisch eten (lunch en diner) op het adembenemende berglandschap, prachtige bergroutes en kasteel Matsumoto.
